Very nice and we'll kept campground. Wonderful family atmosphere. We camp here often.
The cabin we stayed in was beautiful. Tucked up in the woods. There are 2 small lakes with no swimming for some reason. Park itself is kinda small at just over 500 acres. The main "trail" to the old marble mine is an old rd that i guess they recently took a tractor thru to fix trail so it was very muddy. The marble mine was really cool.
There are no bad campsites! Well maintained grounds and bathhouses. Peaceful but plenty of opportunities for fun: hiking, fishing and paddleboats. We will definitely be returning.
The Ranger and staff are the most helpful of any place I have visited. The campground is clean and well laid out. Just a wonderful and beautiful place to visit.
Great place to spend a lazy day on the lake. Fishing is nice. But I just rented a canoe and paddled around for a few hours. The bathrooms/showers at the campsite were very clean and had plenty of hot water. There was even hot water for washing dishes. Laundry facilities available, too. Very popular for RV's, but I tent camped and it was really nice.
